Shared Service Accounting organization provides Accountingand Reporting support and direction on various general ledgers and operatingcompanies. The Accountant /Business Systems Analyst will work with his or hermanager to oversee accounting processes for Accounting and Reporting providedto all US companies. The Accountant /Business Systems Analyst will also workdirectly with the business on intermediate accounting activities such asmonth-end closing process, account reconciliations, preparation/and approval ofjournal entries. They will provide support and guidance in accordance toSiemens Financial Reporting Guidelines and IFRS (International FinancialReporting Standards), and communicate changes related to the Reporting and Accountingguidelines. The candidate will analyze and maintain ledger accounts and relatedactivities for the production of financial statements and fiscal reports andwill ensure accurate and complete monthly reporting. This role will support SAPFICO financial process and support the financial users.

This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional,looking for the next step in their career. As an Accountant Business SystemAnalyst, you will be responsible for:
- Prepare monthly/quarterly reporting for SAP.
- Support month-end/Quarterly close process.
- Maintenance and update of the SAP FICO masterdata and structures.
- Review and research accounting guidelines perInternational Financial Reporting Standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Internal and external audit support.
- Customer support - Manufacturing andSales/Service Business units, Global IT and other departments.
- Coordination and oversight of roster of monthlyclosing jobs.
- Create and assign SAP authorization roles forusers based on guidelines, and handling of SOA for SAP authorizations incl.segregation of duties and role reviews.
- Involvement in special IT Projects such asIntegration after acquisitions / structural changes, Financial related businessprocess re-engineering/enhancement or SAP upgrade / hot pack updates. (Design,user testing, training, etc.)

- Excellent verbal and written communications andinterpersonal skills.

Required skills to have for the success of this role:
- BS/BA in Accounting or Information System, oradvanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education andexperience.
- 5+ year's public/private Accounting orInformation Systems experience.
- Certification may be required in some areas. CPAor equivalent preferred.
