Pay: $60, 000- 65,000 DOE + Benefits and Bonus!
Schedule: Monday - Friday / 7am – 4pm
BBSI has collaborated with a leading innovative builder of modular structures. We are seeking a well-qualified and detail-oriented Building Inspector to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of building inspection and quality control within the construction industry to ensure compliance and adherence to Codes and General Standards throughout the various stages of modular building production.
Key Responsibilities:
Code Compliance: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of state building codes, including the International Building Code, International Mechanical and Plumbing Codes, International Energy Conservation Code, and National Electric Code.
Stage Monitoring: Monitor each building module in various stages of production, including Frames, Floors, Walls, Roofs, Rough Electrical, Rough Plumbing, Back Panel, HVAC, Interior Finishes and Equipment, Interior Trim, Final Plumbing, Final Electrical, and Clean.
Print Compliance: Ensure that all production activities adhere to the State Approved Prints and the organization's General Standards.
Testing Oversight: Monitor Rough Electrical, Rough Plumbing, Final Plumbing, Final Electrical, and HVAC testing processes, adhering to the Pass/Fail/Fix/Retest protocols outlined in the Aries QA/QC Manual.
Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance measures to guarantee the production of high-quality modular buildings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in building inspection or quality control within the construction industry, with a focus on modular building projects.
- Ability to read and understand production drawings and State approved drawings.
- Relevant certifications in building inspection or quality control are highly desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for effectively communicating with production teams, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Keen attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies or deviations from codes and standards.
- Proven ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and work collaboratively to implement corrective actions.
