Southland Farms Organic Grow and Dispensary/Budtique is Searching for Candidates to fill two PT positions: A Budtender position and Brand Ambassador:

Company Overview:
Southland Farms is a certified organic "Clean Green" grow facility and dispensary in Niles, MI. We call ourselves a "Budtique"!

We take pride in the quality of our organic cannabis and curated partner products and are a customer-focused budtique committed to providing exceptional service to our clients. We are currently expanding our team and seeking reliable and dedicated individuals to fill a Budtender role as well as our first Brand Ambassador role. Our Budtenders and staff are exceptionally knowledgeable and take time with each customer and potential customer to give an educated and craft-cannabis experience.

1. Budtender

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert product knowledge and guidance to customers.
• Assist customers in selecting appropriate cannabis products based on their preferences and needs.
• Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Ensure compliance with state and local regulations regarding the sale of cannabis.
• Keep the sales floor clean and well-organized.
• Reliability in attendance and promptness.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a budtender in the cannabis dispensary is a plus but any quality customer service or hospitality experience will be considered if knowledge of cannabis products is at a high level.
• Passion for and in-depth knowledge of cannabis strains, products, and consumption methods is also preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Able to provide quality references.

2. Southland Farms Brand Ambassador

This community outreach role is part time and will require weekend work as well as some evenings. Our Brand Ambassador is responsible for broad community outreach promoting Southland’s products and services, building brand awareness, and engaging with potential customers in a positive and informative manner. Here's an outline of what the role might involve:

Responsibilities

• Product Knowledge: As a Brand Ambassador, you would need to have a comprehensive understanding of the products offered at Southland Farms, including different strains, consumption methods, and potential effects.
• Community Engagement: Interacting with potential customers is a key aspect of the role. You would need to be approachable, knowledgeable, and able to educate the general public about the benefits of cannabis and advocate for Southland and the industry.
• Promotional Activities: This could involve organizing or participating in events, demonstrations, or marketing campaigns both within the dispensary and at external locations. You might distribute promotional materials, educate attendees about the products, and encourage them to visit our Budtique.
• Social Media Presence: In time, help to maintain the dispensary's social media presence by creating content, sharing updates, and engaging with followers. This could include posting about new products, sharing educational content, or highlighting special promotions.
• Compliance: It's important to adhere to all relevant laws and regulations governing the sale and promotion of cannabis products. This might involve ensuring that promotional materials are age-restricted and complying with local advertising regulations.
• Feedback and Reporting: Providing feedback to management about public preferences, trends, and any issues encountered can help improve our operations. You might also be responsible for reporting on your promotional activities and their effectiveness.
• Professionalism and Integrity: As a representative of Southland, maintaining professionalism and integrity is essential. This includes being punctual, reliable, and conducting yourself in a manner that reflects positively on our brand.
• Training and Development: Willingness to learn - product knowledge, customer service techniques, and relevant regulations to ensure you are well-equipped for the role.

Experience

Overall, being our Brand Ambassador requires a combination of product knowledge, customer service skills, marketing savvy, and adherence to legal and ethical standards. It can be an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about the cannabis industry and interested in sharing their enthusiasm with others. Education in marketing would be a plus.
