This position will have hybrid workplace options available but will still be required to report to the listed address at the discretion of the supervisor and based on business need.

Salary range for this posting:
$27.64 - $30.78 Hourly
$2,211.23 - $2,462.40 Biweekly
$4,791.00 - $5,335.20 Monthly
$57,492.00 - $64,022.40 Annually
The Budget Division exists to provide budgetary and financial support to all levels of Department Management; as annual budget preparation, monitoring, forecast, variance analysis, grants compliance and process improvement. In addition, work collaboratively with the Office of State and Planning (OSPB) and Joint Budget Committee (JBC) reviewing legislation, fiscal impacts and drafting fiscal notes.
This position exists to provide professional budget, personnel, and other liaison functions to staff within the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE). This position initiates, processes, and facilitates various budget procedures including, but not limited to, formulating annual budget for programs/Divisions, projecting/forecasting and monitoring staffing costs, accurately tracking funding allocations and expenditures, and budget to actual reporting for the program staff. This position reports to the department's Budget Director.
Substitutions:
Appropriate experience will substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, government, political science, public administration, or a closely related field.
OR
Four years of professional experience in budget analysis, budget projections, development and implementation, budget formulation, execution and analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Colorado governmental budget formulation, execution and/or analysis, accounting processes related to budget and the legislative process.
  • Experience with CORE.
  • Experience with performance budgeting system (PB).
  • Experience performing alike duties as a State of Colorado Classified Employee
