Your ImpactNerd Street is a dynamic and innovative media organization committed to delivering high-quality broadcasting content. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Broadcast Engineer with expertise in ROSS systems to join our team on a 4-month contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our cutting-edge broadcast operations and make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment. This person will work closely with the Head of Media to ensure all production systems are functional at all times.
What It EntailsROSS System Integration:
Evaluate ROSS system current broadcast setup
Ensure seamless communication and interoperability between various ROSS components.
Get control room up and running for streaming broadcasts to multiple platforms including Twitch, YouTube, and other platforms as needed.
Broadcast Equipment Maintenance:
Conduct regular maintenance checks on broadcast equipment, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions.
Perform routine software updates and system optimizations to enhance performance.
Live Production Support:
Assist in the setup and operation of live broadcasts, including studio productions and on-location events.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during live broadcasts to ensure uninterrupted transmission.
Technical Documentation:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all ROSS systems and configurations.
Provide training and documentation to other team members as needed.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with other engineers, producers, and technical staff to coordinate broadcast activities.
Communicate effectively to ensure smooth collaboration between different departments.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Broadcast Technology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience in a related field will be considered.
Proven experience as a Broadcast Engineer with a focus on ROSS systems.
In-depth knowledge of ROSS video switchers, graphics systems, and automation solutions.
Familiarity with broadcast signal flow, video/audio processing, and troubleshooting.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure during live broadcasts.
Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, and holidays); in addition, available during events
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience with other broadcast equipment and systems.
Experience with esports and streaming
