To direct the daily operations of a credit union facility, ensuring the department meets organizational, financial, operational, service and growth plans. Also ensures members and potential members receive fast, courteous and accurate service from Member Service Representatives and Tellers. Is responsible for maintaining compliance with all required regulations and policies, especially with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) policies, procedures, and regulations.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Oversees branch daily functions and supervises department staff. Directs, develops, motivates and disciplines department personnel. Conducts monthly, semi-annual and annual performance reviews for direct reports. Participates in the hiring process for branch staff.
- Handles escalated in-branch matters to assist in resolving member issues. Provides support to staff for problem solving. Identifies key training needs for department and coordinates training through Operations Manager and Training Specialist. Monitors branch profitability and participates in budget development and strategic planning.
- Represents the organization as appropriate in its relationships with members, sponsor organizations, vendors, other financial institutions and similar groups.
- Ensures staff meets key performance indicators through monthly coaching and training. Helps staff identify cross-sell opportunities by using premier service techniques.
- Performs MSR and Teller functions as needed. Prepares and submits reports related to branch operations; attends scheduled management and operations-related meetings as required.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
