Lepley Recruiting Services is representing a leading distributor in the tile and stone industry. We are looking for a a Branch Manager who will be responsible for Sales, Warehouse, Customer Service and Profitability for the companies Nashville branch. The Branch Manager will have direct and indirect responsibility and authority over the Warehouse Manager and will work with the VP of Warehouses and General Manager of Showrooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Branch Manager is responsible to hit target metrics in activity, production, product diversification and penetration, customer service, warehouse and inventory management metrics and overall bottom-line profit of the branch.
  • Product knowledge and ability to understand and manage budgets and financial reporting along with a concrete understanding of budgets and branch KPI’s will be critical.
  • The ability to utilize and create accountable adoption of technology including the CRM by the entire branch team is mandatory.

Management Responsibilities:

  • Weekly meetings to communicate Branch and Corporate initiatives as well as engage team to promote progress toward mission, goals and vision of branch
  • Solicit feedback from team to foster growth and success as a team and individually
  • Supervision; overall staging area including housekeeping delegation
  • Scheduling; shift assignment, OT events, breaks, vacation, personal days, etc.
  • Employee evaluations; including disciplinary actions
  • Staffing, procuring, terminating, and designating job assignment
  • Monthly meetings with VP Warehouse to understand and communicate results relative to corporate initiatives related to warehouse, service, inventory, and employee performance
  • Accountability of Staff and Remediation Actions to Improve Performance
  • Knowledge Transfer to team members and both indirect and direct reports
  • Compensation
  • Overtime analysis and approval
  • Warehouse and showroom management
  • Timecard approval and review
  • Review, inspect and hold subordinates accountable
  • Reprimand and discipline employees within the guidelines of corporate policies
  • Write up and notice
  • Reprimand to HR with recommendation of remediation including termination
  • Hire within HR and corporate guidelines and policies
  • Determine bonus allocation within discretionary pool

Qualifications:

Additional Duties

  • Ability to manage different teams to a common goal of superior performance by balancing the individual, team, and organizational priorities to create performance and measurable results and success.
  • Ability to manage projects to milestones and deadlines, hold individuals accountable for results, and execute with prioritization.
  • Utilization of the company CRM and processes to facilitate this process will be critical as will the proper utilization of the central corporate customer support team.
  • Be the branch leader in product, sales, and operational (including inventory management) knowledge to act as the key resource to provide support and mentoring to respective staff. LT will provide regular training to further your knowledge and skill sets required to successfully perform the responsibilities of the position.
  • Manage the financial performance of the branch including the P&L, accounts receivable, budgets, inventory, sample costs, balance sheet and revenues to drive branch to appropriate profitability and metrics.
  • Work closely with the branch sales team with operational support, job issue resolution, and sales activities. Coordinate with Senior sales management to fulfill and achieve objectives and goals.
  • Responsible for commercial quoting and is an inside contact for the large commercial contractors, residential contractors, dealers, and designers
  • Know and be proficient with the corporate operating software system

Educational or Technical Requirements

  • College education and previous management experience preferred
  • Basic Financial Accounting
  • Managerial Experience
  • Retail Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Ten years of retail or business experience without a degree 7 years with a degree
  • Two years of financial responsibility
Base Salary + Bonus + Full Benefits + 401K
