Summary
Historic Theatre Group, LLC, a division of Broadway Across America, the nation's leading producer and promoter of live theatrical events is seeking a qualified individual for a part-time Box Office Associate position for the Orpheum, State and Pantages Theatres.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Works in Box Office window selling tickets to customers and providing accurate information on a variety of subjects relating to shows, facilities, related resources, and theatre and ticketing policies; answers phone inquiries in a polite, courteous manner;
- Assists subscribers with their needs pertaining to their season subscription;
- Assists management with training of new staff and leads by example;
- Oversees the daily upkeep of the Box Office including accurate filing, regular cleaning, requesting repair and maintenance through Box Office management, and archiving past show and operational materials; maintains and stocks kiosks with schedules and marketing materials
- Provides sales reports and enters data for internal and external reporting; processes all statistical information for archives;
- Maintains adequate supply inventory for the Box Office;
- Creates and maintains theatre maps, schedules of events, and other sales tools for Box Office windows as needed;
- Tracks and maintains lost and found items in accordance with standard Box Office policy;
- Sets up show files on a daily or weekly basis in accordance with Box Office procedure;
- Accepts deliveries and moves packages as necessary; makes daily mail runs throughout the theatres and between organization's offices, as requested;
- Accurately performs routine duties related to opening the Box Offices (e.g. counting banks, unlocking doors, turning on lights etc.) in accordance with standard practice;
- Accurately performs duties related to closing the Box Offices (e.g. running reports, locking doors, locking files, transporting deposits, etc.) in accordance with standard practice;
- Arrives on time for scheduled shifts, returns from breaks on time;
- Maintains appropriate appearance and wears complete uniform during all scheduled work hours;
- Consistently displays a positive and professional attitude towards customers, co-workers, supervisors, cast members, shows and the Theatres themselves;
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications aka KSAOs
- Keyboarding proficiency with 10-key preferred
- Able to quickly learn proprietary ticket sales software
- Overall computer proficiency
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Basic mathematical competency and cash counting
- Requires using personal mobile device for 2-factor authentication app
Education and/or Experience (Indicate requirements that are job-related and consistent with business necessity- note if preferred or required)
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong computer skills required.
- Proven strong customer service experience required.
- Previous experience handling cash required.
- Box Office/Ticketing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Ticketmaster Host and Archtics software strongly preferred.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
Communication Skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret ticketing reports, event build sheets and other technical documents in a variety of formats
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, partners, or members of the industry
- Ability to explain ticketing procedures and policies and train others to clearly communicate these to the public
- Ability to write emails and event reports that conform to prescribed style and format
- Ability to effectively present information to staff, clients, coworkers and the general public
