Bookkeeper (Part-Time)

New England Wound Care is a fast growing specialized wound care facility. Our specialized team has over 30 years of experience providing comprehensive wound care throughout New England with locations in Turners Falls, Athol, Easthampton, Westfield and coordinates with many Nursing Homes in the Western Massachusetts area.

NEWCare offers a flexible and supportive work environment, opportunity for growth and learning, competitive salaries. We currently have an opening for Bookkeeper in our Westfield office. Position is part time, 8-10 hours a week.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

· Develop and maintain records of all incoming invoices and post them into Quick Books

· Work with HR Manager to ensure the bi- monthly payroll is directly entered into QuickBooks

· Develop and maintain list of monthly expenses to be paid and set up running bill payment schedule by month

· Coordinate with Medical Billing Manager transfer of medical billing batch payments from Net Health into the NEWCare general operating account

· Reconcile all NEWCare bank accounts monthly

· Prepare weekly reports of all non-primary care expenses requested for either purchase or payment

· Run periodic profit and loss statements

· Develop list of checks for approval by Director of Operations

· Make bank deposits, enter payments and mail critical payments to ensure proper timeliness

· Other duties as assigned

Requirements and skills

· Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles

· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

· Expertise in Microsoft Office suite and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)

· Understanding of tax obligations and reporting requirements for payables

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 10 per week
