Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to join our team. As a Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our daily operations and ensuring efficient bookkeeping/administrative processes. This position requires strong communication skills, exceptional multitasking abilities, and proficiency in various accounting tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Weekly payroll, payroll taxes
- Quarterly and monthly taxes, 941, M-941, PFML, UHI
- Accounts payable/receivable
- Input attorney timesheets, generate statements/invoices
- Reconcile Operating and IOLTA bank accounts
- Reconcile company credit cards
- Obtain credit card payments using Lawpay, enter into Quickbooks
- Write 401(k) contribution checks and send with remittance form weekly
- Submit form 5500 to Department of Labor for 401(k) contributions
- Assemble year-end documents for liability/health insurance, and CPA
- Generate and file W-2’s and 1099’s
- Answer phone calls (backup) and respond to emails in a professional manner
- Perform general office duties such as typing, filing, scanning, and photocopying
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant or similar role
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Enterprise or similar)
- Familiarity with general ledger accounting, accounts payable, and bank reconciliation processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
