Bookkeeper

Overview:
We are a growing business management firm that specializes in the music industry. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for our clients and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

This is a part-time contract position with varied hours due to volume and need. Best suited for someone who is a freelance bookkeeper already or someone who is looking to slowly re-enter the workforce and is ok with a limited amount of hours to begin with. As our roster grows so will the workload, but for now we are only in search of a limited amount of help. There are no set hours for this position so you can make your own schedule as long as deadlines are met.

Duties:
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and in a timely manner
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Conduct general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to financial records
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations

Skills:
- Proficient in Quickbooks
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and practices
- Experience with account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation
- Familiarity with technical accounting concepts
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies or errors in financial records
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external clients
