SalaryAuto Body Administrative Assistant - Essential Duties
- Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and assists management in meeting them.
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with insurance adjusters.
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
- Monitors daily productivity reports and corresponding payroll records.
- Follows up on parts department orders to ensure parts availability.
- Monitors progress and completion of vehicles in the shop and calls customers as necessary
- Monitors paper flow to ensure that all documents are accounted for, filled out completely and legibly, and filed or distributed to the appropriate parties.
- Prepares final billing for completed repair orders.
- Controls accounts receivable for body repair work.
- Maintains professional appearance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Auto Body Administrative Assistant - Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Auto Body Administrative Assistant - Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one- to three-years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Auto Body Administrative Assistant - Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Auto Body Administrative Assistant - Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
Auto Body Administrative Assistant - Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
