Job Description
We are Creative Kids Therapy Inc, We provide ABA services across Miami Dade and Broward counties and offer a friendly and welcoming environment. We are seeking a BCBA to join our team on a self-employed, contract basis. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based behavioral services to individuals with autism and other developmental disorders.
Requirements:
- Has a Medicaid provider number as an analyst
- With or without experience working
- Flexible Schedule according to hours
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluation, authorization and determination of appropriate levels of care based on established medical necessity criteria.
- Review BCBA assessments submitted by providers for adherence to ASD “best practice” guidelines or ADHD
- Coordinate outpatient and inpatient discharge planning with the practitioner to assure continuity of care
- Act as a liaison with parents and the healthcare community to ensure continuum of care and support for members
- Arrange authorization of consults when necessary
- Verify member coverage and advise all parties involved of the implications for treatment
- Participate in care coordination rounds with medical director to promote integrated case discussions and problem-solving.
Qualifications and Skills
- Board Certified BCBA or BCaBA
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavior challenges.
- Experience working with individuals diagnosed with any type of disabilities is preferred.
Other Duties:
- Maintain access to computer/e-mail/tablet.
- Return phone calls within 4 hours and e-mails within 24 Hours.
- Notify administration of vacations or time off with 2 weeks’ notice to ensure client coverage with another provider.
- Ensure requirements for documentation of services are implemented.
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
- Comply with all policies, procedures, and requirements necessary to perform the functions of this position.
- Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA laws.
- Report any incidents of Client Rights, Zero Tolerance, Health/Safety/Welfare violations.
- Prepare incident reports for any abuse/neglect situations observed or reported to you and inform analyst and owner of the company immediately.
