Blend Operator

Con Yeager Spice Company has been family owned and operated for nearly 100 years.  We supply top quality spices, seasonings, and custom blends to the meat industry, small and large grocers, retail chains, commercial deer processors, home processors, and home consumers.  

The candidate we are looking for will be a conscientious and reliable individual to fill our Blend Operator position.  Under the general supervision of the Lead Operator, the Blend Operator will measure and load build quantities of seasoning, spices, and liquids into blending equipment to make batch formulas of product. 

Qualifications for Blend Operator:

• Previous experience in production operations or another related field
• Dependability
• Ability to read and/or understand written and/or verbal policy, instruction and direction in English, required
• Basic mathematical aptitude 
• Basic mechanical skills 
• Physically must be able to lift at or above the waist, a maximum of 60 pounds

Responsibilities of Blend Operator:

• Follow blend schedule provided by management
• Measure bulk quantities of seasoning, spices, and liquids to create a custom blend
• Operate a commercial heavy duty double ribbon batch blender
• Ensure that the seasonings, spices, and liquids are loaded into the blender in the correct quantity and order
• Operate various warehouse equipment; i.e., forklift, drum dolly, etc.
• Inventory seasonings

Working Environment:

• Climate controlled manufacturing area
• Exposure to airborne food particles 
  

Position Type and Work Schedule:

• Full time, non-exempt (hourly)
• Monday-Friday, 6:30AM to 3:00PM 
• Occasional overtime opportunities
