Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers is seeking a BIM Manager to join our Design Engineering Services team in Woodcliff, NJ. The ideal candidate will participate in the growth and development of a BIM department in the infrastructure market sector of Kiewit. This role offers significant opportunity to be part of cutting-edge Civil Transportation BIM technologies and work on world-class engineering projects in the Highway, Rail, and Transportation industries. Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering's Design-Build team is driving clients to turn to Kiewit during all stages of design-build projects. Through our integrated design and construction approach, our multi-disciplinary team works together to improve schedule, control costs and minimize risk. Our construction-focused engineers work collaboratively with our estimators and builders to design solutions that are innovative, constructible, and designed with a focus on safety. Clients benefit from the proven processes and tools used by Kiewit to minimize project risk. We are an in-house resource that supports projects throughout the company. This position is based out of our Woodcliff Lake, NJ office.
Manage and lead a growing team of BIM specialists
Review client contact requirements to develop design and construction BIM scope and budgets
Educate leadership, colleagues, and subordinates on industry BIM practices
Interface with construction teams and cliental at various stages of design and construction
Co-develop company and project BIM standards and execution plans
Capture and communicate the impact of BIM on projects supported
Manage the delivery of BIM in compliance with a clients BIM standard on large-scale infrastructure projects
Mentor and develop BIM team members
Manage BIM workflows across internal and external teams
Execute BIM quality plans on projects.
10+ years' experience with corporate and/or project BIM implementations
Experience with the adherence to client specific BIM standards on projects
Experience delivering BIM uses in both Autodesk and Bentley products
Experience with the use of Autodesk Construction Cloud and ProjectWise as a Common Data Environment
Working knowledge of Bentley's ORD, OBD, InRoads and MicroStation for BIM authoring
Working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, and AutoCAD for BIM authoring
Experience with the creation of BIM Execution Plans and digital coordination efforts, ensuring all discipline design and production teams are enabled and in compliance with project requirements
Experience with the definition, documentation and implementation of BIM standards and execution plans
Experience with a multi-format CAD production environment and corresponding interoperability challenges
Ability to communicate, train, effect change and implement improvements
Strong teamwork, leadership, and motivational capabilities
Self-motivated and results focused, with the ability to work with minimal supervision
Excellent written and oral communication, particularly English to facilitate working with teams located all over North America
A problem solver, conceptual thinker and able to work with complex systems
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Engineering or Management, or equivalent BIM related industry experience
Willing to travel 20%-40%
