Cloud at Work, a leading Private Cloud hosting provider, is looking to expand its infrastructure team with a skilled and experienced individual. The ideal candidate will have expertise in VMWare virtualization, Windows Server management, and Azure Infrastructure, with a focus on design, security, and process automation.
The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of infrastructure systems including Windows as VMware and have a proven track record of accountability and ownership. To achieve and maintain these standards, the candidate must have a keen attention to detail and the ability to work independently to support our rapidly growing client base.
Job Responsibilities:
Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of all infrastructure-related services including but not limited to:
- Windows Servers
- Network routers and switches.
- SAN Storage Arrays
- Firewalls and associated management tools
- VMware products including ESXi, vCenter, Cloud Director, Cloud Availability, NSX, etc.
- Physical servers and associated management tools
- Racking & stacking physical equipment.
- Microsoft Azure
The day-to-day operation, maintenance, and monitoring of all production, test/dev, and supporting systems.
- Own and Execute process associated to maintenance and monitoring, with an eye to automate manual processes for infrastructure and customer solutions.
- Audit and secure all infrastructure services to meet and exceed industry best practices.
- Architect and support all development code automation at the infrastructure level.
- Maintain and enhance our current processes and procedures as they relate to SOC2 to ensure a successful yearly audit.
- Assist in the selection, configuration, and ongoing usage of infrastructure services.
- Assist in optimization and efficiency improvements of all infrastructure services, tools, and operations.
- Assist in capacity planning and budgeting.
- Respond to and remediate monitoring alerts.
- Work with the Support and Onboarding staff as a technical liaison between Service Delivery (SD) and Infrastructure
- Support the SD team with training, issue escalation, and automation of repetitive tasks.
- Collaborate with the SD team to identify areas of process and technical improvement to increase efficiency and reduce workload.
- Develop, enhance, and secure Cloud at Work’s Azure offering.
- Be available for scheduled on-call, shift work, and projects outside of normal business hours.
- Acquire Industry certifications related to Cloud at Work’s core offerings (VMware, Azure, etc.)
Job Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience configuring and managing enterprise virtual datacenters.
- Scripting and automation with PowerShell, including common vendor modules (Azure, VMWare, etc)
- 5+ years of experience managing enterprise-level MS Windows servers. This includes detailed experience with Windows IIS, event logs, registry, Active Directory/Group Policy, security, patching, and logging.
- Demonstrated ability to automate all maintenance tasks across an environment with the goal of minimizing downtime or service interruptions.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to analyze complex technical problems.
- Ability to multi-task, shift gears quickly, work independently and collaboratively, adapt easily to shifting priorities, process changes, and schedule changes.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to explain issues clearly and concisely and establish effective working relationships in a distributed team.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead team members in the adoption, deployment, and management of technology.
- VMware NSX design and configuration a strong plus
- Juniper experience a plus
- Basic understanding of Linux a plus
Salary range: $85,000 to $110,000. “Please note that the quoted pay range for this job is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) experience, including industry or product specific experience, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, and/or other applicable laws".
