Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist to join our team. The Billing Specialist will be responsible for accurately generating invoices, processing payments, and maintaining billing records. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical and analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and distribute accurate and timely invoices to customers.
Review sales or service contracts, purchase orders, and other documentation to ensure billing accuracy.
Calculate charges, discounts, and taxes as applicable.
Verify billing data and resolve any discrepancies or issues with customers or internal teams.
Process payments received from customers and reconcile accounts receivable.
Respond to customer inquiries and resolve billing-related issues in a timely manner.
Maintain billing records, including customer accounts, invoices, payments, and adjustments.
Collaborate with sales, finance, and other departments to ensure billing processes align with company policies and procedures.
Assist with month-end closing activities and provide support for audits - as needed.
Stay updated on billing regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of billing policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
Excellent numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers.
Solid understanding of billing processes, accounting principles, and financial regulations.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Professional certification (e.g., Certified Billing and Coding Specialist, Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist) is desirable but not required.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
