Billing Specialist - Ohio Residents Only

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Billing Specialist has hands-on responsibility for all payment and contractual allowance posting, denial resolution, and all other follow- up activity to collect on all revenues generated.

Salary: $18/hour includes training

Opportunity to expand to full time and add benefits after 30-day training

Must have Desktop computer for training. Thereafter the company

will provide all necessary equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Significant prior accounts receivable and customer service experience demonstrating professionalism and reliability
• Outstanding computer skills
• Proficiency with office equipment, including, but not limited to, telephone systems, email, e-faxing
• Proficiency in Excel and typing (45 wpm minimum)
• Superior oral and written communication skills , excellent grammar
• Extreme attention to detail
• Strong sense of urgency with all work-related tasks
• Strong organizational and dispute resolution skills
• Strong customer service, positive attitude and friendly demeanor
• Ability to operate in a high-energy, high-intensity environment
• Self-motivated and organized with good time management
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (a plus), AA in accounting or an equivalent experience required

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preserve confidentiality of all company fiscal information
• Participate in cross-training with peers to ensure continuation of critical workflow during planned or unplanned staff absences
• Adhere to established billing and closing cycles
• Weekly follow-up to review work plan, progress, and strategies

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
