Salary```Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Specialist to join our team. As a Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately processing and managing medical billing and coding tasks. Your attention to detail and knowledge of medical terminology and coding guidelines will be essential in ensuring accurate and timely billing. Responsibilities: - Review and verify accuracy of medical records, codes, and charges - Assign appropriate medical codes using ICD-10, ICD-9, and other coding systems - Process medical claims for reimbursement - Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any billing discrepancies - Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries or issues - Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations - Stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations, coding guidelines, and reimbursement policies - Collaborate with the billing team to improve billing processes and efficiency Experience: - Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or similar role in a medical office setting - Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems (ICD-10, ICD-9), and billing procedures - Familiarity with medical collection practices and insurance claim processing - Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and billing software - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers - Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment If you are a dedicated professional with a strong background in medical billing and coding, we encourage you to apply for this position.
