Billing Clerk

Neglia Group (fka Neglia Engineering Associates) is looking for a detailed oriented and initiative-taking experienced Billing Clerk to support the billing department, candidate should be able to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have the ability to think critically, and problem solve as well as able to maintain confidentiality and have a willingness to work overtime when needed to meet critical deadlines.

Job Responsibilities

- Process a large volume of monthly invoices for public, private, and local government clients.

- Mailing and emailing of final invoices to clients.

- Strong knowledge of all AR functions, obtained through education and/or prior work experience.

- Prepare, monitor, and analyze aging reports; work with Principals and Project Managers to facilite collections.

- Research and respond to inquiries regarding billing issues and problems, including invoice corrections/modifications.

- Perform other tasks and assignments as needed.

Job Requirements

- 5 years of experience in a billing environment preferably for engineering firms or similar industries

- Experience in Deltek (Vision/Vantagepoint) software preferred but willing to train successful candidate.

- Proficient in basic accounting principles and practices.

- Ability to think critically and problem solve.

- Excellent math skills with a high-level of accuracy and attention to details in preparing and proofreading bills.

- Strong organizational skills.

- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

- Time management skills.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.

- Must be punctual and dependable.
