The Bilingual HR Plant Manager will assist the VP of Human Resources with administration, coordination and support of the Human Resources function. This role will administer primarily to the manufacturing employee population with a carried work schedule to provide Human Resources coverage for a multi-shift plant and warehouse environment.
- Administer and assist with Human Resources programs, policies and procedures such as employee benefits and leave programs
- Provide Spanish/English translation (written and verbal) and bilingual employee relations support-counseling and coaching employees, as well as advising managers to assist them with supporting employee success.
- Conduct new employee orientation for all employees
- Setup new hires payroll and benefits
- Assist with Workers' Compensation support and administration
- Assist with recruitment and talent development, working closely with staffing agencies to secure temporary manufacturing workers
- Provide backup payroll administration (utilizing Paylocity payroll portal), assist with administer timekeeping management and tracking, maintain HRIS and other employment related records including personnel files.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state employment laws, providing relevant updates to supervisors and managers Assist with company event planning (employee appreciation day, holiday lunch, summer family picnic, etc.)
- Minimum of 3+ years Human Resources related experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment Bilingual (Spanish/English) required
- Employee Relations experience preferred Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience and education SHRM-PC or PHR certification preferred
- Prior recruitment experience preferred (including recruitment utilizing staffing agencies)
- Knowledge of current state and federal employment laws and HR compliance issues Experience with HRIS and ATS systems required, with some knowledge of Paylocity (with HRIS integration); proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Skills/Abilities Bilingual (Spanish/English) communication and translation skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees and management
- Strong sense of discretion regarding protected employee and confidential company information
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal and listening)
- Demonstrate initiative and flexibility in adapting to change
- Problem solving and analytical skills
