Benefits Specialist

Powercon Corp is a leading switchgear manufacturing company dedicated to providing high-quality electrical solutions. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Benefits Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with the following tasks:

Responsibilities

• Benefit enrollment auditing ( i.e. UMR monthly enrollment vs Enrollment information in Paycom)
• New hire enrollment packets/Updating Benefit Packets for new employees
• Entering new hire data into Paycom ( Benefits Administration)
• Implementation of the Position Management module in Paycom
• Maintain document management (Paycom)
• Assist with special projects (i.e. process payroll and maintain employee changes, etc.)
• Workman's compensation reports for annual audit
• Open Enrollment packets sent to staff
• Review 401K eligibility dates in Paycom and make corrections if necessary
• Complete request for UMR to send COBRA Notices to terminated employees

Skills:

• Basic understanding of Employee Benefits is required
• Basic understanding of payroll is a plus (willing to train)
• Experience with Excel, Word and Paycom or similar systems
• Proficiency in data entry and using accounting software
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with various departments
• Attention to detail
• 2- 4 years related experience
