Carlisle Public School is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) toprovide behavior analysis services and behavior management plans/guidelines for special education students enrolled in our district. In addition, this position provides support and professional learning to teachers, RBTs, paraprofessionals, and faculty.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Develop materials and provide resources for professional development for administrators, educators, instructional assistants, RBT/ABA technicians in Applied Behavior Analysis or other evidence-based methodologies related to addressing the needs of students with behavior challenges.
- Maintaining Safety Care or Crisis Prevention training status and ensuring that all identified faculty and staff receive appropriate training according to the guidelines set forth by Safety Care or CPI.
- Plan and oversee the development and implementation of programs, policies, and best practices related to instruction using the principles of ABA for students with autism and other disabilities.
- Conduct behavior assessments requiring their expertise (e.g., functional analysis and/or functional behavior assessments of ongoing problem behavior not appropriately or sufficiently addressed with less intensive interventions) when those assessments are requested.
- Develop and maintain behavioral data and create graphical data representations, and report for progress monitoring monthly of students with disabilities identified by the Director of Student Support Services.
- Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of behavior plans and guidelines.
- Assists case managers in monitoring and reporting on student’s behavioral progress through data analysis and observation
- Assists in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including quarterly progress reports.
- Participate in required professional development and extended day sessions.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Support Services.
Qualifications/Education and Experience

- Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field
- Possess and maintain Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Certification, LABA preferred
- Experience writing behavior plans for students with behavior difficulties, including students with autism and other disabilities
- A minimum of three (3) years of training and experience in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and experience providing training to staff and parents
- Safety Care or equivalent certification preferred

Per the CTA/CSC Collective Bargaining Agreement

- Must receive general training regarding the district’s/program’s restraint prevention and behavior support policy and requirements when restraint is used. The employee must be able to physically intervene with students who may be a danger to themselves or others.
