ACA
Attleboro Community Academy is the alternative high school in Attleboro looking for a full time ELA teacher for the academic year 2024-2025, to develop and refine students’ abilities in Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening and to develop students’ skills and comptencies in consistence with school and district goals and objectives.
Duties will include development of units, plans and meaningful learning activities, individualizing instruction as necessary and offering a variety of assessment methods in line with Project Based Learning. Teachers will maintain familiarity with Massachusetts state standards for the purpose of adapting curriculum to maximize student achievement on state tests.
The ideal candidate will show an understanding of and an empathy for an alternative or “non-traditional” population of students and a willingness to work as part of an energetic team to promote positive school culture.
The hours are 12-8 Monday through Thursday and 9-12 on Fridays.
Must have Massachusetts ELA High School Certificate and License, BA
Masters and SEI Endorsement preferred
