Want to join our team as a Freelance to Full-time Content Creator?
The Content Creatoris responsible for elevating the social presence for Bauer Hockey and Cascade Maverik Lacrosse through meaningful and sharable original content. The ideal candidate should be a social media maven with a strong eye for current/upcoming trends, possess skills in video/photo capture and the ability to execute post-production needs. A comprehensive understanding of different social platforms is required along with a general knowledge of hockey and lacrosse. This role works in a highly collaborative environment and allows for the ability to influence and motivate strategic decisions.
*3 months Freelance, then possibility for full-time role*
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Create relevant, original, high-quality content (posts, videos, images) for relevant social media platforms to engage our target audiences, build brand awareness, and convert and retain followers.
- Execute creative social content to support brand initiatives, product launches along with hockey and/or lacrosse industry moments.
- Identify real-time culturally relevant trends and harness them for meaningful content.
- Deliver video and design projects within specific platform specifications and timing requirements.
- Recognize popular themes of our target audience and support the development of content strategy accordingly.
- Work collaboratively with marketing and ecommerce teams to deliver high performing digital content.
- Attend hockey and lacrosse events and content shoots to create timely content for relevant platforms.
Qualifications:
- BS or BA or equivalent years of relevant and related experience.
- Passion & strong understanding of both hockey and lacrosse to be able to capture compelling content is preferred.
- 2+ years related industry experience of hands-on creation of digital content for social media and other platforms.
- Experience with shooting still photography, editing, and post-production (editing, coloring, audio engineering, titles, graphics, etc.)
- Proven design and video experience for social media and digital platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Websites with a focus on mobile-first.
- Fluent in social media strategy, trends & intricacies of platforms and the algorithms that drive them.
- High degree of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, a flexible and adaptable attitude and ability to effectively communicate at all levels of organization.
- Ability to be successful in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and the deadline-oriented environment of social media advertising.
- Travel as needed and/or required by essential job functions.
