JOB SUMMARY:

An Explorer prepares beverages & other food/snack items, takes orders, and keeps the store clean and running smoothly. Typical responsibilities include beverage and food preparation, customer service, and sanitation. An Explorer should also be adaptable in terms of their work schedule availability, as nights, weekends, and holidays may be required. This position requires excellent collaboration and communication skills. This position reports to the General Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Greet customers, record orders, and serve food and beverages with a consistently positive and helpful attitude, including answering questions about the menu
• Input orders into a point-of-sale system and accept payment using a credit card reader or cash register, calculating change accurately and quickly as required
• Work together with the kitchen team to prepare foods while following cooking instructions, safety procedures, and sanitary requirements
• Use specific equipment to create customized hot and cold beverages to customers’ preferences
• Ensure store cleanliness daily by, sweeping and mopping floors, washing and sanitizing kitchen utensils/smallware's, and servicing restrooms
• Communicate effectively with team members and management
• Handle guests’ concerns and complaints professionally and calmly to resolve problems according to store policy
• Maintain a neat and tidy appearance by wearing and adhering to company dress code

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years old and fluent in English
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand for long hours at a time and work in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and commitment to customer satisfaction
• Previous restaurant or cashier experience
