Position Overview: The Account Creation/Customer Service Rep plays an essential role for the company as a critical liaison between the company, its sales representatives, and its subscribers. This work includes but is not limited to entering sensitive customer information into the company’s database including password information, full customer name, premises address, and mailing address, as well as detailed information regarding the type of security equipment provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Responding to incoming calls in a professional and timely manner.
  • Entry of alpha, numeric, or symbolic data from documents into the computer following a specific format displayed on a screen.
  • Running and evaluating credit reports to ensure customer qualification.
  • Verifying funds for savings and checking payments; authorizing other payments including credit cards.
  • Verifying customer homeownership status online.
  • Logging in and updating customer information by inputting the information into the system.
  • Inputting customer personal information provided by sales representatives and technicians.
  • Performing quality assurance surveys with customers over the telephone.
  • Handling inbound/outbound customer service calls.
  • Comparing data entered from source documents or reentering data for verification on the screen to detect and correct errors.
  • Compiling, sorting, and verifying the accuracy of data to be entered.
  • Maintaining records of completed work.
  • Completing other assigned duties reasonably associated with this position.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in customer service is a plus.
  • Proven experience in data entry and/or customer service role.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging customer situations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM software is preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
