Responsibilities as Bar Manager

- Hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising bartenders, servers, and other bar staff

-Creating and updating drink menus, including specialty cocktails and wine offering

-Monitoring sales trends and adjusting menu items and pricing accordingly

-Ensuring that bar equipment, such as taps and refrigerators are properly maintained

-Arranging for repairs or replacements as needed to minimize downtime

-Overseeing the cleanliness of the bar area, including regular cleaning and maintenance

-Ordering and maintaining inventory of beverages as well as bar supplies

-Developing and implementing strategies to increase sales and revenue, such as promotions

- Handling disciplinary actions or resolving conflicts among staff members

- Addressing customer complaints and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner

- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers

- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences

- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol

- Adhere to all food safety and beverage handling procedures

- Handle cash transactions and operate a cash register or POS system

- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner

- Upsell additional food and beverage items to increase sales

- Monitor customer behavior and intervene as necessary to prevent overconsumption or underage drinking

- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure excellent customer service

Requirements:

- Previous experience in the hospitality industry strongly preffered

- Experience managing staff or in a supervisor role preferred

- Previous experience as a bartender or in a similar role preferred

- Knowledge of basic math for handling cash transactions and making change

- Strong hospitality skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service

- Familiarity with POS systems and cash registers

- Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

- Knowledge of alcoholic beverages, drink recipes, and mixing techniques

- Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
