The Ohio State Bar Association is a Columbus-based statewide professional association for attorneys.
Responsibilities will include the following:
- Human Resources administration and recordkeeping: administers employee benefits and works with insurance brokers and plan carriers, involved in annual benefits renewal process, open enrollment activities and leads wellness committee; complies with federal, state and local employment law; processes terminations and conducts employee exit interviews.
- Employee relations: develops strong rapport with all levels of staff; available to staff for inquiries, guidance, advice and coaching; guides management in appropriate performance management actions.
- Compensation management: provides guidance to Executive Director concerning position classifications and salary.
- Recruiting and onboarding: responsible for all aspects of recruitment and onboarding process such as: job posting, interviewing, candidate selection and orientation.
Job requirements include the following:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or equivalent preferred
- Work Experience: 3 or more years of experience as an HR Generalist with a focus on HR administration and reporting, performance management, maintaining employee files and employment law.
- Skills: Excellent written and oral communications; excellent organizational skills; ability to collaborate as well as to work independently; positive attitude; ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple assignments; ability to deal with ambiguity and ever changing priorities; ability to address the inquiries and concerns of employees with varying personalities.
- Other Qualifications: Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook and administrative writing skills.
