The Syndicate Bar Manager is to ensure the daily functions of the bar menus, products, and staff are completed in an efficient, safe, and clean manner. The Bar Manager responsibility is to also monitor beverage quality and customer experience so we as a company are delivering the best product to customer standards. The Bar Manager should be high-energy, professional, and have excellent communication skills with the abilities to create, stock, prepare, and serve craft cocktails, beers, wines, and other beverages to our customers while training and overseeing all bar staff to provide the same quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Create all beverage menus with guidance and approval from General Manager
· Create and run drink specials
· Assist with pricing for bar items; calculate, consider, and optimize cost of goods
· Handle all bar and merchandise inventory and organization
· Assist with ordering liquor, wine, mixers, and other bar items as needed; create and maintain pars to co-manage ordering
· Participate in and oversee all bar prep, including but not limited to garnishes, syrups, purees, and batches; maintain pars for prep and stocking and adjust according to sales and needs
· Train and manage all bar staff, including counselings; participate in performance reviews of all bar staff; track bar staff’s progress and provide continuous feedback to bar staff and General Manager
· Maintain cleanliness of the bar space and product storage spaces such as liquor cage, walk-in, syrup and garnish cooler
· Reviewing overall bar procedures and developing more efficient ways for overall operations
· Following legal procedures to ensure we are in compliance; checking identification and safety/cleanliness procedures
· Handling cash and card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons
· Work formal bartending shifts as determined by the needs of the restaurant
· Routinely manage shifts, including managing shifts while bartending as needed
· Attend manager meetings and contribute to discussion of all Syndicate happenings and events; work events and assist in managing menus and staffing
· Additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Minimum age to handle alcohol
· Strong problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
· High attention to detail
· Team-oriented individual that holds a positive attitude
· Ability to meet physical demands that include walking, standing, or lifting heavy items
· Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
· Work experience in a leadership capacity is helpful
· Understanding of food hygiene
· Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions under stressful circumstances
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills
· Customer service attitude

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
