Job Overview
Our team at Hotel Bardo Savannah is looking for a passionate, service-driven, and confident Banquet Captain. In this role, you will work with a team of hospitality professionals who play a crucial role in ensuring seamless execution of special events, weddings, dinners and corporate meetings. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and impeccable organizational skills that will contribute to the overall success of each event.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee event setup and execution, ensuring the team adheres to the highest standards of service and professionalism
- Lead and supervise banquet staff to ensure adequate teamwork and exceptional guest service
- Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure seamless coordination between the kitchen and banquet team
- Partner with brand team to ensure brand, service and culture standards are met and maintained
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of event details to facilitate seamless event execution and assist with setup and breakdown of events, ensuring they are in accordance with event specifications
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service quality
Qualifications
- Hard-working team player with a positive attitude and strong attention to detail
- Passionate about food & beverage and elevated service, with advanced knowledge of F&B operations, ideally within luxury and/or fine dining environment(s)
- Ability to multi-task, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent presentation and grooming standards
- Familiarity with banquet setup, service techniques, and industry best practices
