Job Summary:
Responsible for design and deployment of technologies to program and deploy audio / visual (AV) systems in classrooms and conference rooms. Reviews requirements and designs classroom AV systems; performs AV system integration, tests, and pilots of viable technologies for new construction and retrofits; troubleshoots existing AV programs to restore system functionality; and installs multimedia equipment.
Minimum Base Pay: $55,208.00 - 60,728.80. All salary calculations start at the minimum salary and will be based on candidate's education and experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Programs AV control processors, touch panels, routers, audio digital signal processors (DSP) and other peripherals to support instructional technology in the classrooms.
- Sets priorities and serves as the lead for media and AV projects. Participates in and manage all phases of a project from concept to system implementation and user training.
- Performs general installation, device configuration, and programming of control systems. Provides programming and graphic touch panel interface layouts for integrated audiovisual systems using various source code.
- Conducts in-house system testing, validation, and preparations for installation.
- Interprets requirements and block diagrams, implements user interfaces and writes control code to control various types of AV and multimedia control system equipment.
- Designs or fabricates connection systems for multimedia facilities. Completes design, prepares required drawings, diagrams, layouts, power requirements, air flow and temperature requirements.
- Installs and specifies cabling systems, wires, control systems, cables, and media equipment related to complex technical and electronic equipment. Configures multimedia equipment for correct operation.
- Analyzes technical problems with multimedia systems and equipment and perform major repairs.
- Performs technical set-up for video, audio and multi-image presentations and provides technical support. Sets up, troubleshoots, and repairs media systems and equipment.
- Researches and recommends multimedia materials, equipment, and hardware systems used in support of educational and administrative programs as they exist or evolve. Recommends replacement of existing equipment, software, and hardware.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience; or Associate degree and four years of related experience
Knowledge of:
- Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications
- Networking concepts
- Crestron control systems programing
- Public address (PA) systems, AV control systems, and multimedia systems
Skilled in:
- Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management
- Delivering a high level of customer service
- Creative thinking and problem solving to explore new technology, processes, and approaches
Ability to:
- Interpret signal flow diagrams, load program code and troubleshoot system components
- Set-up and operate multimedia equipment

- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations and take responsibility for a high level of service
- Work independently and effectively on multiple tasks

- Troubleshoot complex audio, video, switching and control systems issues
