Automotive Technician

Jonny Dodge, Inc. is a small, family owned and ran Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram car dealership with over 20 years of operation. We are currently looking for an experienced Automotive Technician that will be able continue provide excellent service to our many loyal customers. Preferably the ideal candidate would have already obtained their LEVEL 2 or 3 MOPAR Certifications, but training is available to allow the candidate to gain that training. Work history in the Automotive Technician industry is required.

Automotive Service Technician/Mechanic Responsibilities and Duties:

* Perform work in an efficient and accurate manner, following dealership and manufacture standards.

* Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined on vehicles and identify potential troublesome areas.

* Communicate with service team to understand the customer’s needs and to discuss necessary work to be performed.

* Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions.

* Repair malfunctions and damages as needed.

* Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services.

* Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturers’ performance specifications.

* Document work performed.

* Test drive vehicles to ensure quality of work performed.

* Maintain a clean work environment and keep track of company tools.

* Stay updated on company and factory training.

Experience and skill requirements:

* High School diploma required

* MOPAR Certifications preferred but not required

* Ability to obtain and maintain MOPAR Certification

* Professional oral and written communication skills required.

* Ability to work in mid-level stress environment

* Ability to work in an environment exposed to contaminants.

Physical and work schedule requirements:

* Ability to work 40+ hours a week.

* Excellent attendance

* Alternating Saturdays required

* Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.

* Ability to work with your hands and arms on a regular basis.

* Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

* Ability to create and promote a safe work environment.

All positions require a clean driving record and valid driver’s license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40-$60,000 per year
