Job Description
If you are an enthusiastic self-starter with a passion for selling and strong skills with today's technologies, then we want you to be part of our team as an Automotive BDC Manager. The Automotive BDC Manager is extremely knowledgeable about our vehicles and services, the industry, and our market, including vehicle selection, performance, accessories, efficiencies, safety features and functions, and financing options for both new and used vehicle inventories. He or she must be a technically savvy individual who understands today's technologies and who can communicate in a clear and efficient way with customers using their preferred method of communication (internet/email, mobile/Smartphones, tablets, etc.) in order to present new and pre-owned vehicles to customers in an attractive and highly informative fashion that promotes a prompt sale. In addition, our Sales Consultants maintain an ongoing relationship with customers to encourage networking and repeat business.
Here are some additional specifics that MUST present in order to be considered:
- Ability to work with and be proficient in several Customer Relationship Data Bases. They include but are not limited to):
- Vin Solutions (manager’s level)
- Car Code / Ford Direct SMS texting systems
- KBB TIM (admin level)
- Ability to embed, create, scan, and convert different formats into customer communications. Including emails, text messages, and files to hard local hard drives. The formats include but are not limited to:
- JPEG. to PDF conversions
- Creating and embedding hyperlinks to emails, text messages
- Scanning documents to PDF and saving with the ability to attach or email directly to customers
- Customer Communication Expectations:
- Grammatically correct and professional email communications
- Professional phone communication (training preferred)
- Ability for timely and concise text message communication (text experience a must)
- The ability to perform daily tasks generated by the internet & phone leads. These tasks include but are not limited to:
- Maintain with the team a 10 minute or better response time to internet leads
- Maintain the tasks assigned per internet and phone lead sales process
- Work with the team to cover the schedule for inbound internet lead coverage
- Work with the team to cover the schedule for inbound phone call coverage
- Ability to cover Vin Solutions from anywhere (dealership, home, mobile)
- Maintain or exceed with team a 35% lead to appointment show ratio
- Maintain or exceed a 55% sold / close ratio to appointment show
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, previous sales experience (in any industry), excellent customer service skills, a confident and outgoing personality, a professional appearance, and great communication skills. He or she must have a strong understanding of today's technologies (computer, internet, mobile/ smartphones, tablets, etc.), a strong sales aptitude, and a willingness to continuously prospect to sell a minimum quota (or more!) on an ongoing basis.
