Job Description
The Automotive Administrative Assistant plays a crucial role in the management and administration of subprime auto loans within a financial institution or auto dealership. The Administrator ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines, evaluates applicants' creditworthiness, and works closely with other departments to facilitate loan processing efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Loan Processing: Review subprime auto loan applications, verifying applicant information, assessing creditworthiness, and determining loan eligibility based on established criteria.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for each loan application, including financial statements, credit reports, and legal agreements.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers regarding loan status, application requirements, and any additional documentation needed.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies governing subprime auto lending and other relevant regulations.
- Risk Management: Evaluate credit risk associated with subprime auto loans, identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
- Loan Approval: Make recommendations for loan approval or denial based on credit analysis and risk management.
- Data Entry and Reporting: Enter loan data accurately into the system and generate reports as needed for management review and regulatory reporting purposes.
- Collections Support: Assist with contacting customers to discuss payment options, arranging payment plans, and escalating collection actions when necessary.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to borrowers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the loan lifecycle.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline loan processing, enhance efficiency, and improve overall customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in subprime auto lending, loan administration, or financial services is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to adapt to changing regulatory requirements.
- Spanish speaking strongly preferred.
