Key Functions and Responsibilities
As an Automation Engineer, Index Technology, the individual will be responsible for Quality Assurance (QA) through multi-layered automation strategies for business-critical applications. The candidate must also have passion to introduce new quality automation frameworks and tools. The ideal candidate will have experience in testing solutions for business problems that involve sophisticated User Interfaces, data intensive operations and process hand-offs. The role will have a phenomenal advantage of working directly alongside business collaborators
Role Responsibilities
- Exploratory, functional, non-functional quality automation of the backend/frontend engine for Index calculation and delivery.
- Lead contributor for quality based technical solutions within an agile team.
- Contribute to the development of automated CD/CI pipelines
- Full cycle of testing from the theoretical model to production
- Implementation of quality tooling and testing for Market Data related projects
- Gathering of testing requirements and agreeing between IT, App Support teams, businesses teams in Index business.
- Prototyping and developing quality automation tools addressing a diverse range of index and financial products
- Maintenance and support of the existing quality automation tools and frameworks
- Function as a key tech point of contact for Index services.
Minimum Requirements
Technical/ job functional knowledge
- Experience in programming languages (Java, Csharp, JavaScript or Python) and database experience - SQL Server
- Experience in Test Automation suites - Selenium, Cucumber etc.
- Ansible/Jenkins/Git
- Experience in Cloud Platforms - AWS or Azure
- Experience in software development methodologies and Agile based delivery
- Validated experience of owning the design and delivery of quality automation software
- Experience in working on data management and data focussed projects
- Experience in developing re-usable code, data assets, defining and implementing software engineering standard methodologies & code frameworks.
Business / Sector expertise
- Desirable to have experience in financial services with an understanding of financial and related market data

- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong great teammate, problem solver, a self-sufficient individual with an ability to be constructively address issues
- Track record for developing and retaining impactful teams.
Desirable Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electronics / Electrical Engineering
