AAC is seeking a Systems Engineer for a well-established organization in the Spartanburg, SC area. This is an opportunity to join a great team that utilizes cutting edge technologies within its infrastructure environment. This position will focus primarily on Systems Engineering and administration with the opportunity to gain more experience on the networking side in a Cisco environment. This organization also provides one of the strongest benefit packages in the Upstate.
This position will be 100% onsite Monday – Friday working 8 am to 5 pm.
This role will initially begin as a 6-month contract-to-hire with full expectations of converting to FTE (full time).
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration/engineering
- Strong knowledge and experience with VMWare administration/virtualizations (client runs on VMWare ESXi 7.3)
- Strong knowledge and experience with Windows server administration and patch management (client runs on Windows 2019)
- Experience with storage management
- Some experience managing and configuring Cisco routers and switches
- Advanced proficiency in data center infrastructure (servers, storage, networks, switches, routers, etc.)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Linux servers, specifically Debian and/or SUSE
- Advanced proficiency in Cisco IOS
- CCNA certifications are highly preferred
- FTD firewall experience
- Cisco Unified Communications experience
- Experience working with Cisco UCS Chassis
- MCSE certification
