Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough automotive diagnostics to identify issues and determine repair needs
- Provide accurate and detailed estimates for auto repairs and services
- Collaborate with customers to explain repair recommendations and answer any questions
- Perform oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, transmission repairs, and other mechanical tasks as needed
- Ensure all repairs are completed in a timely manner and meet quality standards
- Upsell additional services or maintenance packages to customers when appropriate
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of payments received
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an auto mechanic or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures
- Proficient in automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate repair recommendations to customers
- Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately estimate repair costs
- Experience with cash handling and basic computer skills
- Prior experience in auto service management is a plus
