Form of workPOSITION SUMMARY:
Performs defense audits with entities outside South Texas Health System (insurance payers, Medicare, Medicaid, Texas Worker’s Compensation Commission, etc.); at the request of individuals (patients, patient’s families or patient’s ombudsman) and South Texas Health System’s staff for administrative purposes. Performs internal departmental charge audits, keeps records and report’s findings to department heads, in form of meetings, e-mails or memos.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Computer experience with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites required.
2. 1 year experience in chart review (QA, UR or Case Management) preferred.
3. Must be able, have ability and transportation to travel between facilities as needed.
4. Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.
EDUCATION / LICENSURE:
1. Current LVN license in the State of Texas with 3 years experience in an acute hospital setting.
