The Audit Intern will be part of Northwest’s Audit Professional Practices Group. This group is responsible for ensuring superior audit service and delivery across the organization which includes audit methodology development, quality assurance oversight, training development and delivery, senior executive and board reporting, and data and analytics strategy.
Job Description:
• Assist with the execution of the department’s data and analytics strategy;
• Assisting in the analysis of data gathered during audits and the identification of trends or patterns
• Conducting research and analysis to support the team in staying up to date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
• Assist with the development and evolution of the department’s audit methodology to keep pace with industry and regulatory expectations;
• Assist with the development and presentation of training materials to the department to inform of methodology enhancements and any themes/trends in audit quality;
• Assist with the development of executive and board level presentations detailing audit results and risk trends;
• Assist with the creation of deliverables and presentations to bank regulators;
Requirements:
• Current enrollment at an undergraduate or graduate institution with a record of high academic achievement
• Fields of study related to accounting, finance, and/or economics is highly preferred
• Strong quantitative background
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work assignments
