About the Job:Boutique Plaintiff's Trial Practice seeking a Trial Attorney.
The ideal candidate should have between 1-5 years of personal injury or insurance defense experience and must be admitted to practice law in Georgia.
If you enjoy legal writing, research, and crafting creative arguments then this is a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in Plaintiff's civil litigation. This is an excellent, immersive opportunity to litigate and try cases in State in Federal Court. We will develop you into a skilled and sophisticated trial attorney. You will get real-time trial experience in State, Superior, and Federal Court.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Litigating cases in State & Federal Court;
- Prepping for and responding to discovery;
- Managing Client Relationships;
- Filing on Odyssey, PeachCourt, and Pacer;
- Drafting pleadings (complaints, discovery, motions, notices, subpoenas, etc.);
- Negotiating with Adjusters and Defense Counsel;
- Trial preparation & presentation;
- Gathering, organizing, and summarizing medical records for depositions and trial;
- Gathering evidence, witness information, photographs, etc.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Admission to Georgia Bar (Required, OR sitting for 2024 Bar Exam)
- Excellent legal writing and research skills;
- Refined attention to detail;
- Self-motivated, and transparent;
- Eager to learn, with a positive attitude;
- Tech-savvy: We run a (virtually) paperless office. If you're not tech savvy, this job is not for you.
