Job Goal: The goal of this position has primary responsibility for the administration of school athletic programs.

2. Possession of small vehicle operation license or willingness to obtain one.
3. Knowledge of the general organization and functions of a public school system.
4. Knowledge of public-school laws, rules and regulations.
5. Demonstrates a broad knowledge of athletic programs.
6. Ability to communicate effectively and resolve conflict with students, parents, and community groups.
7. Ability to hire and supervise professional and support staff, and establish expectations for job growth.
8. Ability to provide leadership to school staff, students, parents and the community.
9. Good organization and communication skills.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Coordinates and approves all athletic schedules.
2. Maintains and approves all budgets for athletics and arranges all home game management.
3. Coordinates and reports building athletic activities.
4. Responsible for ensuring all CHSAA rules, eligibility, and deadlines are followed.
5. Responsible for the hiring and supervision of all building coaches and game workers.
6. Responsible for the maintenance and safety of athletic facilities and prepares work orders and accident reports.
7. Promotes the school athletic program and assists coaches with athletic recognition activities.
8. Attends all appropriate building, district, league and state athletic meetings.
9. Responsible for the collection of athletic fees, physical forms, parent permission forms and insurance forms.
10. Schedules transportation for athletic activities under CHFSAA.
11. Works effectively with booster clubs and other community organizations.
12. Performs related work as required.
13. Maintains schedule of district facility use in relation to athletics & activities.
14. Schedules game workers & communicated with game officials for home contests.
15. Assists other district administrators in crowd supervision.
16. Act in administration role as required by supervisor.
Qualifications / Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Bonding, and or Testing Required:
1. Master's degree in education or other discipline.
2. Appropriate state certification.
3. Classroom teaching experience preferred.
4. Head coaching experience preferred.
5. Type D license preferred.
Physical Demands:
The work is partly sedentary with periods of physical activity. Typical positions require workers to walk, or stand for long periods; lift and carry up to 50 pounds; climb stairs; bend; reach, hold, grasp and turn objects; and use fingers to operate computer or typewriter keyboards. The work requires the ability to speak normally and to use normal or aided vision and hearing.
Work Environment:Work is performed in office, classroom and/or other educational setting.
FLSA Status: Exempt
Days / Terms of Employment: 190 Days / Nine-month position. Salary to be determined by the School Board of Education.
