Athletic and Activities Director for 6th-12th grades
Job Summary:
East Grand School District is seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and passionate Athletic and Activities Director to join our team at both East Grand Middle School and Middle Park High School.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

• Providing guidance and direction for the middle and high school's sports and activities program
• Preparing budgets and allocating spending on items such as coaches' salaries, team travel, equipment purchases, facility upkeep and uniform inventories
• Coordinating with coaches about the scheduling of games and practices
• Collaborating with conferences and leagues about scheduling issues
• Working to assure that student-athletes are academically eligible for a given sport or activity
• Speaking with league officials about subjects such as postseason play
• Determining the time allocated for a field, court, auditorium or weight room
• Working with coaches, sponsors and transportation director to plan trips
• Coordinating officials and umpires at games and budgeting for their pay
• Filing reports on the status of each team and its successes and shortcomings
• Mediating any disputes between students and coaches/sponsors, parents and coaches/sponsors, or between coaches/sponsors
• Evaluating coaches' performance at the end of each season
• Coordinating training for coaches and sponsors
• Serving as a mentor and leader to students, sponsors and coaches
• Coordinating with school administration to ensure all home and select away athletic events and activities have supervision
• Maintaining setup, coordinating field prep; paint, markings, and safety for school fields
• Coordinating with nursing staff to ensure appropriate medical kits are available for coaches and that athletic trainer services are available when appropriate
• Coordinating with media (Max Preps, local media, etc.)
• Using Alma to communicate with parents regarding upcoming events, changes, eligibility, etc.

Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in education, physical education, or a related field. A minimum of two years of coaching experience and experience as an Athletic Director is preferred. Effective communication and interpersonal skills as well as effective time management, leadership and organizational skills are necessary.
Working Environment:
East Grand School District is located in Granby, Colorado, 90 miles NW of Denver and 20 miles from the Winter Park Ski area. School is in session Monday - Thursday from 8 a.m. - 4:18 p.m. MPHS and EGMS have approximately 750 students in grades 6-12 and serve the communities of Winter Park, Fraser, Tabernash, Granby, Grand Lake, Hot Sulphur Springs, and beyond.
