Position Summary
This individual will be working closely with the front office to confirm transacted deals. In addition, this individual will work with external customers to validate the transactions. Under general direction, gathers commodity prices from various sources and prepares data for use in risk management system for energy commodity valuations. Provide specific price data and analysis requested by various commodity management groups. Prepare daily energy commodity risk evaluations.
Essential Responsibilities

  • Produce and distribute daily risk reports including daily trading P/L, open positions and value-at-risk.
  • Gather, compile and evaluate information needed for daily forward curve mark-to-market process. Perform daily pricing process, including validating trader marks against third party sources.
  • Interface with accounting, trade floor and other commodity management groups to provide information related to transactions, valuations and credit exposures while monitoring and reviewing trading documentation to ensure transactions are in compliance with risk management policies and procedures (e.g. deal entry into BookRunner).
  • Independently research and respond to daily inquiries for data and reports.
  • Reconcile the daily margin calls and coordinate the transfers of collateral with our trading counterparties.
  • Assist in daily monitoring of trader portfolios, as assigned.
  • Maintain risk/pricing models in an auditable format for internal review, external regulatory review and to maintain compliance with accounting standards.
  • Production of month end reports for use in accounting close in accordance with accounting standards.

Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree required (Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Math) prefer quantitative discipline
  • Experience with commodity markets or equity trading preferred.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Database management, VBA, C++ or other financial modeling skills preferred.

Preferred
  • Experience in Transaction Process Administration, Contract Administration or Risk Management
  • Strong interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skill
  • Demonstrated organization, prioritization and analytical skills

Non-Bargaining
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $52,000.00 to $73,332.33 per year
