Job Summary

  • Administers, oversees, and leads research project(s) with primary responsibility for overseeing and ensuring the highest conduct of research including qualitative/quantitative data collection and analysis, responsible recruitment and enrollment of study participants, and dissemination of scientific results through conferences, publications, and other venues.
  • Pursues external funding, writes, and publishes manuscripts, and participates in peer review activities.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate Degree (Required) MD, PhD, PsyD, PharmD, EdD or other doctoral level degree in public health-related field, required
  • Five years of directly related experience, knowledge and competence with grant application, statistics, data analysis, program evaluation, and scientific writing, required.
  • Experience with multidisciplinary collaboration, required.
  • Experience in business development and strategic growth preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and independently.

Skills and Abilities

  • Expertise in development and scientific implementation of federal and non-federal (e.g., industry, foundation) grant funding, contracting, and administration processes.
  • Possesses scientific and leadership skills and demonstrates the ability to collaborate and foster inter-organizational relationships.
  • Effective written communication skills and verbal communication skills including one-to-one, in small groups and in public speaking contexts.

Established in 1956 as a department within Denver Health, Rocky Mountain Poison & Drug Safety provides specialized research, education, prevention and treatment services to meet the unique and complex needs of public health, government agencies, and the pharmaceutical and consumer products industries.

The Researched, Abuse, Diversion and Addiction-Related Surveillance (RADARS®) System provides timely and geographic-specific data to the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory agencies, policymakers and medical/public health officials to aid in understanding trends in the abuse, misuse, and diversion of prescription drugs in the United States. The RADARS System is composed of multiple signal detection systems and a Scientific Advisory Board and is an independent operation of the Rocky Mountain Poison and Drug Center (RMPDC).

The RADARS System measures rates of abuse, misuse and diversion throughout the United States, contributing to the understanding of trends and aiding the development of effective interventions. These data assist pharmaceutical companies in fulfillment of their regulatory obligations such as risk evaluation and mitigation strategies (REMS).

The Rocky Mountain Poison & Drug Safety throughout our 50-plus year history, The Rocky Mountain Poison & Drug Safety has provided regulatory compliant processes through our contact centers and research/consulting group. Our contact centers provide services related to public health information, poison control, medical information, adverse event, product quality and nurse triage and are completely devoted to maintaining both compliance with federal regulatory agencies and the standards of public health.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $102,400.00 - $153,500.00 per year
