Description of Work Unit
Founded in 1870, Colorado State University is among the nation's leading research universities and enrolls approximately 32,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. Located an hour north of the Denver metro area, Fort Collins is a vibrant community of approximately 157,000 residents that offers the convenience of a small town with all the amenities of a large city. Fort Collins is situated on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains with views of 14,000 foot peaks, and offers access to numerous cultural, recreational, and outdoor opportunities.
The Center for Community Partnerships (CCP) supports transition-age youth and adults with disabilities and/or learning differences pursue their education, employment, independent living, and community participation goals. The CCP is housed in the Department of Occupational Therapy within the College of Health and Human Sciences at CSU. CSU is a Land Grant university, a Carnegie Research university, and has been designated a Carnegie Community Engagement university.
Position Summary
We are looking for individuals who seek temporary or special assignment positions with the CCP. Potential activities include assisting with development of new programming or providing support services and evaluating the effectiveness of those services within one of our existing programs.
The open position(s) may be a temporary or special assignment and may vary from part- to full-time. In addition, these are 9-month positions with the possibility of a summer assignment. Annual terms depend on continued availability of funding.
Required Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in human services-related field.
  • Prior paid or volunteer experience working with neurodiverse individuals in the community.

Preferred Job Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, Disability Studies, Education, or related field.
  • More than two years of experience supporting neurodiverse individuals in education or employment settings.
  • Experience working with adult disability service agencies.
