Associate Project Manager
6+ month Contract role - Onsite (potential for some hybrid) Location: Round Lake, IL
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager with a mechanical engineering background to join our Pharmaceutical Manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and a proven track record of successfully managing complex mechanical engineering projects. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring mechanical engineering projects from initiation to completion. You will also be responsible for working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of new mechanical systems and equipment in our manufacturing facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute project plans for new mechanical systems and equipment
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources
- Identify and mitigate project risks
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and quality assurance
- Prepare and present project status reports
- Document project deliverables and maintain project records
- Train and mentor project team members
- Stay up to date on current pharmaceutical manufacturing regulations and guidelines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in pharmaceutical project management methodologies
- Experience in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) regulations
- Experience in regulatory submissions
- Experience with project management software, such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex mechanical engineering projects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering software, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks
