Description
Reporting to the General Manager, the primary focus of this role is to leverage excess production capacity to develop and perform custom packing and blending for juice-based blends. The ability to lead key development projects, rally cross-functional departments, and create and manage project timelines, is required. This is a full-time onsite, at-will, salaried exempt position
Key responsibilities include:
• Field customer requests for custom blends and to respond with pricing and capability, considering labor, infrastructure and equipment needs, etc.
• Develop and own the timeline on a broad range of projects including new product development, custom blend opportunities, packaging enhancements/changes and other projects that impact our product portfolio.
• Engage with cross functional parties at all levels of the organization, including Production Operations, Production Planning, Purchasing, Finance, and Sales. Ensure each function is playing its part in delivering it part in meeting project timelines.
• Work collaboratively with the GAI sales team on competitive landscape analysis, new business opportunities, market and product trends, points of differentiation, and product pricing strategy.
• Identify the intersection of manufacturing capabilities, GAI's current place in the market and what food and beverage manufacturers desire.
• Incorporate industry trends into product development opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications include:
• Experience in beverage packing or flavor development; in a project management role or a role that requires
managing cross-functional teams.
• Comfort in navigating fluidity, and confidence with proactively engaging the appropriate collaborators to creatively solve unanticipated challenges that may not have immediately obvious solutions.
• Sophisticated project management experience, PMP certification a plus.
• Well-developed financial analysis skills and a strong command of MS Excel.
• Meticulous; organized; ability to manage competing requirements and priorities.
• Familiarity with production operations, experience in liquid food packaging;
• Strategic thinking capabilities/high sense of urgency/intuition for business;
• Experience growing, building, and strengthening relationships with all levels in an organization.
• Customer service orientation, professionalism, and excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and the desire to learn and understand new products and processes.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, organizational and problem-solvingskills.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new processes, procedures, and business systems.
• Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and 5+ years of related work experience.
