Print & Digital Production is responsible for project managing the production of print and/or digital content. They interact with various functions within the content creation organization including editors, creative design and visuals, content integrity, and content planning to finalize all the components of a story package and to track and close print issues and/or online publication of stories on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Activities include (but are not limited to): creating and adapting layouts across markets; developing and managing production schedules and budgets; obtaining, organizing, and managing assets; and managing the print and/or online publishing and distribution processes.
Primary Responsibilities
Build daily articles and slideshows, including multi-platform content and large digital features/portfolios
Assist in facilitating content sharing and syndication among our partners
Oversee special projects and tentpole event web production (Met Gala, awards season, etc)
Ensuring total and smooth web production coverage during events, fashion months, nights and weekends - working with our Executive Editor to create production support calendars, and helping oversee any freelance support
Build lineups as needed, create slack channels, communicate deadlines, and monitor asset management for digital launches, awards shows, royal weddings, etc.
Serve as liaison between all teams to ensure everyone is in the loop and aligned (visuals, video, design, prod, writers, section heads, photo research, copy research, etc)
Assisting with manuscript coding/SOWs etc as requested
Assist Executive Editor in maintaining contributor fulfillment reports and managing manuscript budgets
Liaise with the product and tech teams on new site features, helping Q&A as needed, as well as helping to troubleshoot site bugs
Additional responsibilities as assigned
Desired Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 1-2 years experience in digital media or equivalent experience
Full fluency in content-management systems (CMS), Photoshop, InDesign, and InCopy, G Suite
Basic HTML understanding to modify code
A self-starting team player, detail-oriented, efficient, and able to problem-solve and multitask.
Ability to also work independently and show initiative
Displays excellent written and verbal communication skills and tech savviness
A passion for the brand’s content
Capacity to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to act as key point person at all times, and assist in troubleshooting as it occurs, including out of regular business hours
Calm demeanor and positive attitude under pressure
The expected base salary range for this position is from $60,000-$75,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
