Minimum Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in urban/Regional Planning, or a related field. Preference for master’s degree or certification.
- No less than two years of relative working experience.

Position Summary: This position is responsible for producing transportation planning work tasks typical of a metropolitan planning organization (MPO), conducting the federally-required transportation planning process, providing transportation planning products to the MPO member organizations, and coordinating with Federal, State, local agencies and the public.
Initial focus will beon transportation planning and its linkages to land use, demographic and socioeconomic trends, environment; at all times connecting the above planning elements to economic development.
Other illustrative examples of work to be performed include:
· Writes and presents formal and technical reports, related to transportation and/or land use planning.
· Communicate and coordinate with State, Federal, and local agencies in developing multi-modal transportation plans and funding proposals.
· Analyze socioeconomic data, census data, and other planning-centric data; support and provide guidance to the transportation planning tasks of the local agencies.
· Assist in the collection and analysis of data for transportation performance-based planning.
· Coordinate public meetings and workshops; facilitate as necessary.
· Participate on cross-collaborative teams in conceptual and transportation planning and for corridor and redevelopment studies.
Critical knowledge and fundamental skills required for the position, include:
· Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously
· Ability to work independently or in a team environment
· Effective written and verbal communication skills
· Experience utilizing ArcGIS for data collection and analysis
· Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
Compensation and Benefits: Rate of pay will take into consideration prior applicable experience.
